Don't know where to begin? In this free class we will talk about 10 of the most common mistakes investors make, steps to identify and achieve your goals, and we discuss financial fears and behavior patterns. Bring your planning and investment questions. Your attendance is complimentary and there is no obligation following your participation in this class. There will be no attempt to sell any financial products or services at this, or any Women's Financial Academy event. If you decide that the Women's Financial Academy is a good fit for you, then you will be placed in a peer group that offers you the best possible support.
Fundamentals of Planning and Investing for the Beginner
Perhaps you have been relying on someone else's advice and you are feeling like you need to better understand your finances. In this class you will learn the basic fundamentals of investments, how they work, and what investments work best for your situation. You will also gain an understanding of taxes, wills and trusts, funding for retirement, what safe spend down during retirement looks like, how to fund college, or reduce debt. Whether you are single, married, widowed, retired, or just getting started, our goal is to give you the confidence and knowledge you need to take control of your own situation.
Goal Setting for the Beginning to Intermediate Investor
Chances are you've been saving and investing for a while, but you just don't feel that you have the understanding or the confidence that you want. In this class you will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of investments and how they work, what makes the economy tick, and how you pay taxes. You will set goals and be given the tools to figure out the strategies that best fit your situation so that you are able to buy a house, pay down debt, retire, travel, fund college, protect your assets, pay fewer taxes, or whatever else you feel you need for a full and rich life.
Round Table Topics for the Intermediate to Advanced Investor
You feel that you have a good grasp on your investments and you've achieved a measurable amount of success. In this class you will have the advantage of in-depth discussions about investments and economic trends with other sophisticated investors. Through the course of the year we will be following the regulatory changes and discussing the effects they will have on your investment, estate, tax, and gift planning strategies.
Executive Planning for the Intermediate to Advanced Investor
This group is exclusive for women who are C-level executives or women who own all or part of a business. In this class you will share discussions about investments and economic trends with other like-minded business owners. Through the course of the year we will be following the regulatory changes and discussing the effects they may have on your investment, tax, business, and estate planning strategies.
Divorce Issues and Planning for Your Future
This group is for women who are divorcing or who have recently divorced. You may, or may not have been actively involved in your finances. Either way this class will teach you how to navigate a broad array of issues such as family business valuations, stock options, financial statements, retirement plans, and how to read tax returns. This course will also help you to focus on getting control of your new lifestyle, retirement planning, taxes, investment strategies, college funding, and how to protect your assets for your future financial security.
